Under the Summit Entertainment and Mediaset Espana Presentation and an Apeches Entertainment Telecinco Cinema Productions, a catastrophe struck the Earth on December 26, 2004 when a devastating tsunami hit the coast of the South East Asia. It was the deadliest tsunami ever recorded on that part of the world where many families including tourists died on an unforgettable event that will always be remembered.
This movie depicts an account of a family who survived the scary tragedy. Based on their story and experiences, they will show to us why this is a must-see movie that everyone should not miss. The film is a true to life story of Maria, Quiqor, Lucas, Tomas and Simon.
Naomi Watts (Maria) an Oscar Best Actress Nominee portrays a leading role together with Ewan McGregor (Quiqor). They are so good that they will let you feel as if you are also there at that very moment. They have three sons: Lucas, Tomas and Simon.
It all started at Khao Lak, Thailand on the Christmas Eve. The place is so alluring, showcasing the beautiful white sands. Everything was in perfect order until suddenly, while the children were playing and everyone is busy doing this and that, the electricity halted. Silence was everywhere for few seconds followed by strong winds. The birds were visibly noticeable flying away of the area. Unknowingly an unexpected chaos is about to swallow completely the entire place for what is said to be a paradise, a Tsunami, turning the area into a distorted kingdom. Everybody thought that moment that it was already over but yet, again another huge wave (Second Tsunami) come fort adding damage to the already deformed paradise. The rest is for you to see.
I officially recommend this movie to all of you out there. You will not regret it. Man, it was impossible not to cry from the beginning until the end because it’s very touching. It’s nice that this family were still able to be together inspite of what had happened to them. Please watch the movie and see for yourself. I always recommend the best movie I watched and i promise you, you will give me two thumbs up for this.
